This is odd. Apparently I made another patch, but for some reason never uploaded it. It fixes two somewhat minor bugs that allow you to retrigger dialogue sequences (specifically, Drune going maverick and AP speaking with Shade). The new patch is up in the downloads section now.

This news post has two purposes. The first is to plug my webcomic, The Wrong Plot. The second is to inform you that there are some exclusive screen shots in today’s update. For those of you reading this within the next twenty-four hours, when it’s moved off of the front page, you can find the shots somewhere between the middle and bottom of this page, depending on how long after this news post you see it.

I found a rather large bug that I’m very surprised has made it this long without being discovered. Since it’s a game-stopping bug I decided I needed to put up the patch ASAP. However, because it’s only one very minor change from 1.05, I decided it wasn’t enough for a whole new version number. Therefore the 1.05A patch is now up in the download section.

Patch 1.05 is now available for download in. Head on over to the download section (as if that wasn’t obvious) to get it.

I would like to welcome back Mason Wheeler, not only from his two-year missionary trip in Argentina but also to the Antioch Wars team. He will be assisting with mapwork and event coding while until Seawolf is less busy.

You may have noticed that Seawolf hasn’t been around lately (lately being for the past month or so). For those of you who don’t already know, this is because his wireless card has died and he’s been mostly without internet for that time. The situation is improving, however, and work on Chapter 2 is coming along better because of it. If all goes well he thinks he’ll have a steady connection again within the next few weeks.

On a related note, there are four new screen shots in, surprisingly enough, the Screen Shots section.

Finally, something I’ve been meaning to get around to for quite some time, the results of the mountain-naming contest. I realize that this is tremendously late, as the contest ended exactly two months ago, but that’s not important. Congratulations go out to Admiral Stoker who has successfully named those mountains “the Cragmoor Mountain Range.” We’ll get you a prize as soon as we think of a good one to give you. Runners-up include Endarire for “Black Rock Ridge,” “Omega Peak,” and “Echoing Heights,” and Kalad1 for “Snake Mountain,” all of which we liked very much and may be used at some other point during the game. Thanks go out to everyone who entered, and I hope you’ll watch for other AW contests in the future!

Boy, do I feel stupid. Only a day after released patch 1.03, I discover a few minor and barely noticeable bugs while doing some chapter 2 coding. Yet despite being so minor, they do have an effect on the game, so I felt I should make a patch now. Barring any unforeseen issues, this should be the last patch for a while.

So, patch 1.04 is now available in the downloads section, and I apologize to those of you who’ve already patched to 1.03 and now have to do it again.

Well after several weeks since Twosday, very few bugs have been reported. Zer has fixed up the minor bugs that folks reported in the Clean Room, which is now up in the Downloads section. This is version 1.02 of the bugfix, and hopefully there won’t be a 1.03.
