“Do you EVER shut up? Your whining is as unbearable as your witless prattle you term the ‘Word of God’!”
—Commissioner Jansen, Love and War
In a once war-torn world that is united in a fragile peace, a recently graduated student is unaware of the role he will soon play.
In the town of Davenport, a girl named Lavie lounges about in her room, bored. After checking her mailbox, she’ll be pulled into a magical adventure within a dreamy fairy-tale land.
A new piece of art have been added to Fan Contributions!
The first update of the new year! I hope 2017 has been going well for everyone so far. We've been making slow and steady progress on Magical Girl Lavie so far, and I hope to have more to talk about in the weeks and months ahead. Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
In addition, two new pieces of art have been added to Fan Contributions!
Another year draws to a close, and boy, has it been one filled with developments! Here’s to hoping 2017 will be a fun and bright year, further expanding the world of Love and War. Here’s a new piece of awesome art drawn by artist Arcan Anzas!
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
With the craziness of the Magical Girl Lavie Indiegogo campaign settling down, it’s time to get back to posting random bits of Love and War artwork. Here’s a look at Sigmund Regale, Lavie’s father, drawn by artist Akubaka!
The Indiegogo campaign has come to an end, and thank you to everyone who contributed, offered words of encouragement or advice, shared the link around, or just stopped by to check it out. I really appreciate it!
We definitely made a good showing of it, but alas, we did not reach 100% funding. What does that mean, in terms of Chapter 1 of Magical Girl Lavie? Without question, we’ll have to cut back in some areas. That means fewer custom graphics (tilesets, character sprites, animations, and so on), and at least partly relying on premade RPG Maker graphics. The soundtrack is also going to be a problem; I’ll have to see what creative solutions I can come up with.
But despite all that, I still believe Magical Girl Lavie can be made, and made well! Limitations can breed creativity, and all that. I’m looking forward to getting to work, and once the funds have been transferred, I’ll be sending out instructions to our team members to begin work. The real work begins then!
The Magical Girl Lavie Indiegogo campaign has just gone live!
I hope you’ll consider checking it out, and joining me on this journey. Thank you for your time!
